Shipping

Plants are packaged and sent on Mondays and Tuesdays- excluding public holidays.  Orders must be received by 5pm each Sunday to leave that week otherwise they will be despatched the following week.

We will on occasion ship on Wednesdays but this is at our discretion.

Our plants are packed with care with lots of newspaper or alternatives snuggled around the plants to minimise movement and disruption during transit. We do use tape across and in between plants to keep them in place as well. It is a risky business having plants shipped and we can not be held responsible for what happens during transit. Parcels often pass through many hands before being delivered to your address, this always increases the possibility for something unfortunate to happen. We take as much care as we can to ensure your plants arrive in good condition but please be aware of the risks undertaken when having plants couriered to you.

We primarily use Aramex to ship our plants. On occasion we may use an alternative carrier if we need to. You should be emailed all tracking information regarding your parcel.

All parcels are under an ATL which is an ‘Authority to leave’ you will not be required to sign for your parcel. If you wish to leave specific delivery instructions to be relayed to the courier driver please leave them in the comments of your order and I will ensure they get passed on.

We no longer ship our plants to the South Island. This decision is subject to change and we will reassess in the Spring. We would like to say a big thank you to all of our customers in the South Island who have bought from us and we are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Freight charges are calculated on volume, in general the more plants you order the higher the freight charge but spend $80 or more and we will ship your plants for free...yes FREE! Incredible value. Free shipping is automatically applied at the checkout once your order hits the minimum threshold of $80.

Our standard rates as below;

1-6 plants $10

7-12 plants $16

13 + plants $22*

*This is a flat rate for any order that contains over 12 plants but hasn't met the minimum spend for free shipping

Pick up onsite is free (for any number of plants).

About us

Born out of pure necessity and a passion for plants we are proud to bring to you Kingsley Plants, a small boutique style nursery situated in the sunny Bay of Plenty. Our business has been created in the back yard of our home and we are very much a family orientated enterprise. It is important to us that we produce quality, good sized and competitively priced plants. Creating a beautiful garden shouldn't cost the earth to do and it should be achievable for all regardless of the budget you have.

We want your gardens to succeed, grow well and be beautiful. That is what drives us to do what we do.

Our nursery deals mostly in perennials, however you will often see annuals and edibles showing up in our range, we love the idea of a garden full of plants that offer us plenty of colour, charm, flowers to pick and fresh produce. All nestled together in perfect harmony to create a fulfilling and enjoyable cottage garden.

So why create a cottage garden you ask? Well why not! This beautiful style of garden is timeless, full of charm, colour and  understated elegance. Where more plants the better is the call that echos out! There are no hard and fast rules for creating your own picturesque paradise, so let your creativity shine and go with the flow. Planting a cottage garden is fun.

My own garden is a rambling pottage of so many different things...from Plumbago to Penstemons, Salvias, Wallflowers, Cupheas, Osteospermums, fruiting plants that have found themselves all snuggled together with barely any clear ground to be seen. My garden lives by the mantra 'more is more' and is filled to the brim but theres ALWAYS room for extra. There are birdbaths and little hidden fairy houses, decoratively hanging pots...even a broken wheelbarrow that was destined for the dump has been plonked in the middle of a garden, painted bright yellow and is full of strawberries!

As you browse through our range you may notice we are big advocates for bee friendly plants. They play such an important role in our environment and we do encourage adding a plant or two that will invite bees and other beneficial insects to visit your garden.

Finally, if you couldn't already tell we are gardeners too. My garden is my happy place and if I could I would probably park up in my garden all day, every day! So on that note please feel free to send us an email with any questions you may have or any photos you have to share of your garden spaces as they progress. We would love that.

Thank you for taking the time to read our story.

With thanks

Jen + Team Family
