Shipping

Important- WE DO NOT OFFER ANY  SHIPPING OPTIONS TO THE SOUTH ISLAND.

Plants are packaged and sent on Mondays and Tuesdays- excluding public holidays.  For prompt processing and despatching of your order please place your order by 5pm Sunday. This allows us time to prepare your plants for their journey to you. Orders placed after this cut off time will be sent the following week.

We will on occasion ship on Wednesdays but this is at our discretion.

Our plants are packed with care with lots of newspaper or alternatives snuggled around the plants to minimise movement and disruption during transit. We do use tape across and in between plants to keep them in place as well. It is a risky business having plants shipped and we can not be held responsible for what happens during transit. Parcels often pass through many hands before being delivered to your address, this always increases the possibility for something unfortunate to happen. We take as much care as we can to ensure your plants arrive in good condition but please be aware of the risks undertaken when having plants couriered to you.

We primarily use Aramex to ship our plants. On occasion we may use an alternative carrier if we need to. You should be emailed all tracking information regarding your parcel.

All parcels are sent under an ATL which is an ‘Authority to leave’ you will not be required to sign for your parcel. If you wish to leave specific delivery instructions to be relayed to the courier driver please leave them in the comments of your order and I will ensure they get passed on.

Freight charges are calculated on volume, in general the more plants you order the higher the freight charge but spend $80 or more and we will ship your plants for free...yes FREE!* Incredible value.

Free shipping is automatically applied at the checkout once your order hits the minimum threshold of $80.

*Applicable to North Island addresses only- no offshore islands and we do not offer any shipping options to the South Island.

Our standard rates as below;

North Island ONLY

1-6 plants $10

7-12 plants $16

13 + plants $22*

*This is a flat rate for any order that contains over 12 plants but hasn't met the minimum spend for free shipping

Pick up onsite is free (for any number of plants).

About us

Born out of pure necessity we are proud to bring to you Kingsley Plants, a small boutique style nursery situated in the sunny Bay of Plenty. Our business has been created in the back yard of our home and we are very much a family orientated enterprise. It is important to us that we produce quality, good sized and competitively priced plants. Creating a beautiful garden shouldn't cost the earth to do and it should be achievable for all regardless of the budget you have.

We want your gardens to succeed, grow well and be beautiful. That is what drives us to do what we do.

Our nursery deals mostly in perennials, however you are likely to see annuals and edible plants showing up in our range, to us a garden that is full of colour, charm, flowers to pick and fresh produce to nibble on is the epitome of happiness.

So what is the appeal of cottage gardens I hear you ask?

This beautiful style of gardening is timeless, full of charm, colour and  understated elegance. Where more plants the better! There are no hard and fast rules for creating your own picturesque paradise, so let your creativity shine and go with the flow. Planning and planting a cottage garden is fun. Enjoy the process.

My own garden is overflowing with with all sorts...from Plumbago to Penstemons, Salvias, Wallflowers, Cupheas, Osteospermums, Lychnis, pansies, dianthus to blueberries, raspberries, brambles, feijoas and everything in between! There is barely any clear ground to be seen- which was exactly the desired effect, less room for weeds. My garden lives by the mantra 'more is more' and is filled to the brim but theres ALWAYS room for extra. I love quaint additions like birdbaths, statues and little hidden fairy houses, decorative hanging pots...there's even a broken wheelbarrow that was destined for the dump which has been plonked in the middle of a garden, painted bright yellow and is full of strawberries!

As you browse through our range you may notice we are big advocates for bees, birds and beneficial insects. They play such an important role in our environment and we do encourage adding a plant or two that will invite these kind fellows to your garden.

Finally, if you couldn't already tell we are gardeners too. My garden is my happy place and it seems time doesn't exist as I often go outside 'just for 5 minutes' only to lose an hour or two!

So on that note please feel free to send us an email with any questions you may have or any photos you have to share of your garden spaces as they progress. We would love that.

Thank you for taking the time to read our story.

With thanks
